Prathishta dinam falls on the Makeramstar in Malayalam month of Edavam every year.

Maha sivarathri is a occasion when special poojas, Ezhunnellippu, panchavadyam/melam/Thayampaka etc. are the major attractions. Special poojas, Kalampattu, velichappadu thullal etc are performed. Parayeduppu is also performed before Sivarathri festival.

Vishukkani, Ramayana maasam, Niraputhari, Vinayaka Cathurthi, Navarathri, Mandalavilakku, Ayyappan Vilakku etc are the other important occassions.
